Robotic surgery, also known as “robot-assisted surgery”, allows many complex procedures to be performed in a more flexible, precise and controlled way than with classic surgical techniques

Thanks to the three-dimensional camera and the zoom feature on this robotic device, every touch is made with perfect sharpness in a minimally invasive manner. This makes it possible to perform microsurgery focusing solely on the patient’s operating area.

Robotic surgery offers a comfortable operative process to the patient as well as to the doctor. This method, which takes the advantages brought by the conventional laparoscopic method one step further, is regarded as today’s most advanced technological product and most highly developed surgical method.

The Comfort That Comes With Robotic Surgery Continues Not Only During the Operation but Also Afterwards.

With robotic surgery, operations are performed through incisions smaller than one centimetre. This means that there is almost no scar in the operating area. Especially in gynaecological operations performed through the navel, the surgical scar is at a level that cannot be seen from the outside with the naked eye.

In operations performed on other parts of the body, the incisions are usually made at points that will not be visible from the outside. In cases where this is not possible, even though the surgical scar may be visible to the eye at first, it fades to a degree that cannot be distinguished by the eye about a year after the operation. This also allows women who do not want a surgical scar on their body to prepare for the operation in a psychologically positive way.

After the Operation

After many operations, the recovery process can be at least as challenging as the operation itself for most patients. However, after operations performed with robotic surgery, patients benefit from all the advantages of closed surgery; they feel very little pain and use fewer painkillers, are discharged early and return quickly to daily life. Again, after robotic surgery the patient both stays in hospital for a shorter time and can return to social life more quickly.

Patients can be discharged within a short time and be reunited with their loved ones, get up on their feet and return to their social lives. Patients being able to continue their lives from where they left off is also reflected positively on the psychological side of the treatment process. This is regarded as extremely important for patients whose treatment will continue after the operation. Again, the fact that the operation is performed through an extremely small incision reduces the risk of complications after the operation to a minimum. This also eliminates the need for additional treatment.
