With the first introduction of robotic surgery, it rapidly came into use especially in gynaecological surgery. According to data from 2013, the number of operations performed in gynaecology is greater than in other departments. Robotic surgery began to be used frequently by obstetrics and gynaecology specialists, particularly because of cosmetic concerns in women and because there is less pain after the operation.
